Tesla factory paint is industry-typical thinner than European luxury brands, so leading edges — frunk lip, hood, mirror caps, A-pillars — chip and stone-strike faster on Model 3, Model Y, and Model S. PPF closes that gap and is the most common reason Tesla owners book a build within the first thousand miles.
Color PPF is the most-requested upgrade on the bench right now. A single layer changes the color and protects the paint at the same time — no double install, no stripping later. For Cybertrucks specifically, Full Body Color PPF (the only PPF package for Cybertruck) or vinyl is the reliable way to prevent staining, fingerprinting, and oxidation on the exposed cold-rolled stainless panels, which ship with no clear coat from the factory.
Every Tesla build at our Van Nuys studio starts with a hands-on inspection. Flat-panel Cybertrucks, the curved bodywork on Model Y and Model 3, and the longer hoods on Model S and Model X all need different film tension and panel mapping — we plan each install around the actual vehicle, not a template. How much is a full vinyl wrap on a Tesla?
A full-body vinyl wrap on any Tesla starts from $1,900 (promotional price; regular from $2,400). We work with 3M, Avery Dennison, KPMF, and Inozetek films and pick the line based on color, finish, and how long the wrap needs to last.
Why does Tesla paint need PPF more than other cars?
Tesla factory paint is industry-typical thinner than European luxury brands, which makes it more vulnerable to rock chips, swirl marks, and wash scratches. Paint protection film adds a self-healing layer over the factory finish so the paint underneath stays untouched.
Do you wrap or PPF the Cybertruck?
Yes. Cybertruck is one of our highest-volume Tesla builds. Cold-rolled stainless steel is exposed metal with no clear coat, so Full Body Color PPF (gloss, satin or matte color film — the only PPF package for Cybertruck) or vinyl is the reliable way to prevent staining, fingerprinting, and oxidation on the panels.
Do you offer color PPF for Tesla?
Yes. Full Body Color PPF comes in gloss, satin and matte color films (STEK Color and other approved color films). Color PPF changes the look of the car and protects the paint in a single layer, which is why most Tesla owners pick it over traditional vinyl.
Where is my Tesla kept during the build?
Every Tesla stays inside our secure indoor facility in Van Nuys for the entire build. No outdoor parking, no shuffling between lots — the car goes in, gets prepped, and stays there until pickup.
