About this build

This Ford F-150 Hennessey VelociRaptor came through our Los Angeles studio as a utility platform build — truck and SUV bodies see harsher use than a sport sedan, so the priority is durable coverage at the impact zones. The matte finish is the call when the owner wants the car to read low-profile under daylight and refuse to flash highlights at night. Multi-service builds are sequenced deliberately — one finish has to fully cure before the next one goes on top, so the schedule reflects that order.

A Hennessey VelociRaptor F-150 — already a heavily modified truck — finished with full-body matte paint protection film for a softened satin look that hides the inevitable Los Angeles offroad scuffs better than gloss. Matte PPF on a vehicle this size is a large surface project; the bedside, hood and roof each got dedicated film sections aligned to keep the matte texture consistent through every panel transition. Ceramic tint completed the build, sized for the Raptor's extended cab glass. PPF on a truck that sees real use is one of the better investments — the film takes years of stone strikes, brush rash, and trail debris and the underlying paint stays factory-clean underneath. For Hennessey-tuned trucks where the build cost is well into six figures, the protective layer is non-negotiable.

What we used on this Ford

Why these finishes were combined

Ford builds with several finishes work when each layer is planned in sequence: paint protection film keeps the exterior factory-perfect against road debris and UV, while ceramic tint cuts the heat soak that California sun pushes into a closed cabin.
