About this build

This Ferrari 488 came through our Los Angeles studio as a mid-engine supercar build — low-volume body panels mean every cut line gets verified against the factory shut-line before the film hits the surface. Multi-service builds are sequenced deliberately — one finish has to fully cure before the next one goes on top, so the schedule reflects that order.

A white Ferrari 488 on gold wheels, protected with full-body clear paint protection film and finished with ceramic tint. Nothing about the look changes — that is the point. The film is invisible, and the car keeps its factory gloss while the front end stops collecting rock chips.

Supercar bodywork is the hardest case for PPF: the 488 carries carbon-fibre aero at the hood, splitter and rear diffuser, and film has to follow those compound curves without a stretch mark or a lifted edge. Each piece is plotter-cut to the panel and wrapped around the edge where the geometry allows, so there is no visible film line under the paddock lights.

What we used on this Ferrari

Why these finishes were combined

Ferrari builds with several finishes work when each layer is planned in sequence: paint protection film keeps the exterior factory-perfect against road debris and UV, while ceramic tint cuts the heat soak that California sun pushes into a closed cabin.
