About this build

This Ferrari 458 Spider came through our Los Angeles studio as a mid-engine supercar build — low-volume body panels mean every cut line gets verified against the factory shut-line before the film hits the surface. Multi-service builds are sequenced deliberately — one finish has to fully cure before the next one goes on top, so the schedule reflects that order.

A 2013 458 Spider that came in for full-body clear PPF with a custom racing stripe layout — satin silver center bands bordered by gloss black outlines, running hood through deck. The stripe specification took as much planning as the PPF itself: each band had to follow the Ferrari's longitudinal curvature without breaking line over the engine cover or air intakes. We installed full-body clear film first, then layered the stripe films on top so the protection extends to 100% of painted surfaces underneath the design. A ceramic coating finished the work, adding hydrophobic behavior across both the clear and decorative films.

Why these finishes were combined

Ferrari builds with several finishes work when each layer is planned in sequence: PPF stops the impact and chemical hits, ceramic coating sits on top so washing the car takes a fraction of the time and grime does not bake in.

What to expect after the install

Every Ferrari build at our Los Angeles studio includes a written aftercare brief and direct text-line access to the installer for the first month. Questions about your specific build — get a quote or call (424) 207-4435.
