Lexus LC500

About this build

For this project, an Absolute Matte Vector Green film was installed on a Lexus LC500. The teal-green pigment has a muted, non-reflective matte surface that makes the aggressive bodylines of the LC500 read almost as pure form — the coupe's sculpted fenders, long hood and fastback roof are emphasized without the distraction of specular highlights. Matte materials behave differently than gloss under sunlight: the color reads slightly flatter at midday and gains depth at low angles near sunrise and sunset. The installation required precise alignment along the curved door panels and the tight radius around the headlight housings, where the factory Lexus spindle grille was left fully exposed.
