Matte finishes have a way of stripping away the noise -- no glare, no reflections, just the car's form in its purest expression. The Rivian R1T in this configuration suited the matte ppf treatment well. The vehicle's character and the finish choice reinforce each other rather than pulling in different directions.
Paint protection film installation on this build required full disassembly of the affected panels, including bumper components and mirrors. Every piece was wrapped with heat-activated film, stretched and formed to the contours before trimming. Edges were tucked wherever possible -- under trim lines, behind door jambs -- to eliminate visible boundaries. The result is a seamless protective layer that follows the car's geometry without adding visual bulk. Every piece of glass was cleaned and prepped before film application. Interior surfaces were decontaminated to remove any residue that would cause adhesion issues or create visible specks under the film.
The protection layer is invisible from any normal viewing distance. The car presents exactly as intended while the film handles everything the road throws at it. Driving a car that looks exactly how you imagined it changes the relationship with the vehicle. This build delivered that.
