This performance coupe received a glossy blue chrome wrap that creates a highly reflective surface with a cold metallic cast. Chrome-based materials demand far more precision than standard films because even minor imperfections can show through immediately. The objective was to keep the finish sharp and continuous across the complex body shapes without distorting the reflective effect. In Van Nuys daylight, the color changes with the environment around it, which makes alignment and panel flow even more important. The most sensitive work was around the front fenders and the sculpted rear quarter transitions.
