About this build

This Lamborghini Huracan came through our Los Angeles studio as a mid-engine supercar build — low-volume body panels mean every cut line gets verified against the factory shut-line before the film hits the surface. Satin is the in-between choice — deeper than matte, calmer than gloss, and the most forgiving on day-to-day swirl marks. Single-service builds like this one keep the install schedule tight and let the owner add the next layer later if the use case changes.

A satin red vinyl wrap was selected for this build to combine a strong color tone with controlled reflections. Satin materials highlight body contours without the high glare associated with gloss finishes. Installing the film across the complex curves of this supercar required gradual tensioning and repositioning to maintain consistent color saturation. The wrap was carefully aligned along the sharp hood lines and rear quarter panels. The final surface shows a smooth red gradient that follows the sculpted air intake channels along the doors.

What we used on this Lamborghini

3M, Avery Dennison, or KPMF architectural cast vinyl — premium 7–9 year films, plotter-cut on a Roland pro plotter so every cut line lands inside a factory shut-line.

Why this finish was the right call

A full vinyl wrap is reversible by design. The original paint stays sealed underneath the cast film, so the build can be revisited or sold without committing to a permanent colour change. The film is dimensionally stable for the rated 5–7 year window, and it can be removed in a controlled session without damaging factory clear.

For a Los Angeles daily driver the appeal is finishing the car in a colour the OEM does not offer — a satin neutral, a deep flip-shift, or a brand colour that simply was not on the build sheet — without locking the value of the car into that choice. When the lease rolls or the build evolves, the wrap comes off in a single morning.

What to expect after the install

Vinyl wrap care: hand-wash with a pH-neutral shampoo, no automated brush carwashes. Expect 5–7 years of finish life on a daily driver, longer on a garage-kept build.
