About this build

For this project, we used a satin dark basalt wrap to give the fastback a darker, more technical finish without the harsh reflectivity of gloss black. Satin materials need careful handling because they show pressure patterns and uneven stretch more easily than most clients expect. On a long, low body with broad door sections and a sweeping roofline, maintaining uniform texture becomes the whole job. The final look stays controlled in direct sun and artificial light, with the basalt tone reading strongest along the rear quarters and the upper shoulder running into the hatch.
